News about our Krids...                            it's the 3rd Generation of the Cabo Fish Dogs!!!

June 4, 2015-Daisy's puppies are here!!!!!!

Daisy, our 4 year old has had her first set of pups.  There are 8, 3 males, 5 females. They are ready to go to their new homes.  The dad, Dexter lives across the highway in Cresta del Mar.  He is approximately 3 years old.  Both are very light blonde golden retrievers. Also are quite tall and slender. The Cabo Fish Dogs were famous down around the marina.

Daisy's bloodline is from the USA, Arizona, where her dad, Seaver, & grandpa Skylor came from, and is my line since 1998. Daisy's mom is Nala who is from Mexico City area. She was a rescue to me but I have a copy of her papers and was told that she cost almost $2000 by the time she arrived in Los Cabos. Seaver and Skylor also had their AKC and I have the originals, but I never applied for Daisy's.

Dexter was registered with AKC papers and is from Los Cabos. We are trying to get a copy of his papers. He has the micro chip and tattoo.

All pups seem very healthy.  For more recent pictures and videos & info, please click here.

March 19, 2014 Renzo's battle with cancer brought an end to his incredible life that we got when he was about 4 years old.  He became a "Cabo Fish Dog" then after their passings he was the leader of the "Next Generation" whom lived at Casa Perros, loved the beach, going to downtown and then ultimately their new pool.  You were so beautiful and special, Renzo.  You went from living in a building site, not liking swimming or going for a ride, to liking both as you knew there was always fun involved, with the rest

**********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

On about March 2, 2013 the Jones in Toronto, Canada apparently have had Rosa, Nala's 1st litter, and also Diego, Nala & Renzo's pup, maybe stolen?  An all out search, the police, every golden retriever rescue and 100s of friends and just people are searching for them.  Our hearts go out to them ALL and our wish of luck and good fortune for their hopeful return are constantly thought.  We thank everyone involved for the help!

Yesterday, March 11, we were informed of the passing of 9 month old Nalita.  Apparently she died of a heart attack as there was no signs of anything else, sickness, or foul play.  She was lost on March 8th and simply found not alive.  She had eaten & played normally in the morning, we were told.  Both Juan Jose & his wife are terribly heartbroken as is Pepi, their male golden retriever & Nalita's soul-mate.

I can not tell you how sad both these things make us, and even more so the passing or Nalita.  At 9 months she has been taken and it is simply not fair and clearly not understood.  We experienced similar times with both Hercules (3) & Simon (5), and can even likely say the same about Seaver.  Our prayers go to all of them, our owners and the hopeful return of Rosa & Diego.

March 12, 2013, we have now been told that both Rosa & Diego fell through the ice and have drowned, in Canada. Rosa has been found while Diego has not at this time.  They will be cremated & buried on the Jones' farm, where they loved to play.  Click below or above to go to the owner's page for all the info.  It's sad but amazing.

Also, we have put up a page for our owners & their krids.  Please send us photos and info/stories.  Thx

March 19, 2014.  SAD DAY, Renzo is gone.

Picture
Renzo was about ONLY 8.5 years old.  Born Nov 15, 2005, AKC, from Mexico City breeders.  He was our gorgeous, healthy, smaller male about 65 pounds.  I would say he was a hunter line as he certainly acted like a hunting dog.  He came to us about 4.5 years ago and got to live the life that he deserved and wanted.  We taught him to like "going for rides" and yes, "swimming"!  He wanted nothing to do with vehicles or water when we got him

He became the man of the house as we said goodbye to Skylor in 2010, then lost Seaver & Simon late June & early July 2011.  We loved him greatly and know that the feeling was mutual as he enjoyed his new home Casa Perros.

There is a slight possibility that we may end up with pups in about May, as Daisy was in heat a month ago, approximately.  We hope to carry on his we had hopes and made efforts to stud Daisy as we knew Renzo's days were numbered as he had nasty tumors removed in early Sept and then again later Jan of 2014.  It was a horrible, aggressive cancer that we hoped was outside his rib cage however I figured that it was now inside and affecting his organs.  He went down that early morning and by noon we knew what had to be done.

We love you Renzo.  We will miss you dearly and hope that you are playing with Jasper, Hercules, Skylor, Seaver & Simon as well the rest of our family, Rosa, Diego, Nalita, Bailey, Hector and the rest of those I have known and you have played with.

You have found us, the "World Famous Cabo Fish Dogs" & our family & friends!

Picture
We are Skylor (a.k.a. Daddy Dog or Grandpa), Seaver and Simon as the 3 original boys along with Hercules and they make up the 4 you see so many pictures of, in Los Cabos.  On October 3, 2009 we lost Hercules to a dreadful disease called Erhlicia, and he was the grandson and an angel!  All 4 of our boys are in doggy heaven watching over us!  After losing Hercules before me moved into Casa Perros, their new home, we ultimately lost Grandpa Skylor to cancer June 16, 2010, and last summer within about 2 weeks of one another both big bro Seaver & shortly afterwards Simon, in late June & early July, 2011.

We rescued 2 others in 2010, Renzo & Nala, who joined us in late January & then March.  Nala was my 1st female in many 30 years.  We had actually found another home for her and the day before she was to leave us the people said they could not take her so she became one of us, as a week was all it took to say she could stay!

Nala's 1st birthday was June 15th, 2010.  Skylor (shown below with me) had been battling small tumors on his body for a year or so and then a couple weeks earlier a very large one grew rapidly behind his shoulder blades.  We removed it however it was a nasty, cancer type with spread quickly elsewhere.  On June 16th, 2011, we had to say goodbye to the original Cabo Fish Dog who is forever etched into may people's hearts and memories!  The day of Nala's birthday we had a grand party for her and everyone and Skylor actually came outside and joined in along with their best friend, Alaya & Laura, for Nala's birthday.  It was a VERY SPECIAL DAY to see Skylor make that effort to spend his last day in the yard eating pizza with all of his family!  He was number 1 to all our friends as he's Captain Skylor.

Simon (Uncle Simon)

Simon, little brother to Seavees died about 2 weeks after Seaver, not even 5 years old.  He was the last of the original 4 Cabo Fish Dogs and since his early days considered himself the "alpha" in in charge.  He was a beautiful boy, for his age he was very mellow/grown up.  His loss was also a devastating Sunday morning as he went on a short hike.  He maybe had a seizure or maybe something related to heat stroke, while it was only a short hike for him, that day.  Normally we hiked from Casa Perros.  This day he had a ride uo to the hill, before starting.  Why, we ask, did we lose him too??  He was the last boy to be with Nala's pups.  Shown below, he was enjoying a trip on the boat, as all the Fish Dogs did!!  We love you Simee!!

Seaver (Big Brother)

Seavees was totally in love with being on the boats, just like below.  When asked, "Where's the fishees?" the first move for him would be to jump up and put his head in the live bait tank(s), which ever boat he was on!  "No Seavees, the other fish" and he would then go to the transom or side of the boat and look out at the sea for one jumping!  Seavs was kind of my soul mate of them all.  At just over 8 years old I miss him immensely as we lost him before his time.  In one day he went and we took him in during the morning losing him late afternoon.  I spent several hours with him that day.  I knew he didn't have long as he got progressively worse.  I went to take him home and he never made it.  He is with Daddy Dog, Skylor, and his son Hercules, now.

Hercules ("Ball Boy" the Grandson)

This is Hercules. He was known as "Ball Boy" because of his endless desire to bring a ball to you so he could play! Honestly, he was the sweetest of all the boys I have had. He was always eager to please us and gentle as one could ever imagine. He did not spend much time on the boat but was always the one that wanted to go for a ride in any vehicle, whether it was the "Dog Limo", "Dog Taxi", or the rest of them? He always had his order he'd go to first. He was the first one to move to "Casa Perros" and go to Doggy Heaven! Our hearts miss you!

The Fish Dogs at the marina!

They loved the marina in the mornings and even at night.  "Go for a ride" never had to be said twice.

The Lucky Additions...

We have added 2 more to our family, recently. In latter January 2010, Lorenzo joined us as we rescued him from an unpleasant living arrangement where he was neglected of the love and true care he needed. He is very happy now and knows what he was missing for the last 4 years! We call him Renzo. He's a beauty and is learning the ways of his new brothers! Then about a month ago, March 2010, we were contacted about a beautiful female that was only 8 months old. Nala came from a nice home however her family, and more specifically the kids, decided that they couldn't offer her the care and special love such a beautiful girl like her, needed! We were contacted and found her a home but due to medical conditions of one member it was decided that she wouldn't be able to go there. Nala has been with us since and she loves her big brothers and grandpa! They are all doing wonderful together!

Nala (Mama) Now is the Queen since Renzo's leaving us.

Mama is now fixed and she is gorgeous since she does not have puppies any more.

Nala got "Lucky"...

April 25, 2011 the estranged puppies were born.
Who's your Daddy?
Seaver, you sly dog!  You left us with your (Daddy Dog Skylor's) bloodline and your beautiful babies.  The Cabo Fish Dogs live on, as there is NO DOUBT that we have next generations of Seaver, Simon & Skylor/Hercules as we can absolutely see them all in Clydee, Elmo & Daisy!  Daisy got both Grandpa's body/build & Hercules' color!  Elmo would be Simon's identical twin & Clydee's look & calm/relaxing personality is my Seavees!

Nalita, Cabo San Lucas, is gone too!

Nalita passed away March 8th, 2013.  She was a little over 9 months old.
